Our biggest industry partner on this mission are Sumitomo Heavy industries (SHI), a world leader particle accelerator manufacturer since 1972. SHI crafted Japan's largest AVF cyclotron, marking the beginning of a legacy. SHI also manufactures wide range of cyclotrons (particle accelerators) ranging from low-energy types for irradiating semiconductors or (10MeV) for the production of labeled compounds with short half-lives for PET, to high-energy types for nuclear physics or (30MeV) for the production of radiopharmaceuticals for SPECT. SHI remains at the forefront, shaping the landscape of scientific exploration. SHI Headquarters based in Tokyo, Japan. With more than 50 years of experience, SHI installed and supports more than 243 cyclotrons across the world.SHI manufactures a wide range of particle accelerators supporting diagnostics and therapeutics.
